The UW/Fred Hutch Center for AIDS Research (CFAR), which is housed within the University of Washington (UW) Department of Global Health, has received a 5-year, $17.5 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to provide critical services and support for HIV researchers in Seattle.
“The grant will allow UW/Fred Hutch CFAR to continue to make meaningful impacts on the lives of people living with and at risk for HIV globally,” says Dr. Baeten, Director of the UW/Fred Hutch CFAR, “It will support us to address the highest priority challenges of the global HIV epidemic through fostering collaborations across institutions and disciplines, delivering innovative and cutting-edge expertise and technology, and providing an enabling environment for the next generation of HIV research leaders.”
