Our flagship environmental change program is CHanGE, a center housed within the University of Washington Departments of Global Health and Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences under both the Schools of Public Health and Medicine. CHanGE collaborates with schools and departments across the University, and with partnering institutions.

The Center for Health And the Global Environment (CHanGE) facilitates interdisciplinary collaborations across UW’s schools and colleges to promote systems-based approaches to help communities prepare for, cope with, and adapt to a changing climate. Led by Jeremy Hess, PhD.
The UW Center for One Health Research (COHR) investigates the health linkages between humans, animals, and their shared environments; including zoonoses, comparative clinical medicine, animals as sentinels, animal worker health, food safety, and the human-animal bond. Through transdisciplinary partnerships, COHR develops innovative strategies for healthy coexistence between humans and animals in sustainable local and global ecosystems. Led by Peter Rabinowitz, MD, MPH.
