Q: Please tell us about yourself. Where did you live before Seattle and what were you doing?

A: I earned my bachelor’s degree from Nagpur University in India after which I went to the University of Texas at San Antonio to attain a master’s in biotechnology. There, my subject of research and my thesis were focused on studying molecular mechanisms of chlamydial pathogenesis while I worked in Dr. Arulanandam’s lab. 

Q: What are your recent research interests? What research are you doing as a Research Assistant (RA)?

A: In 2014, I joined Seattle Children’s Hospital as a Research Scientist in Dr. Rawlings' lab under the supervision of Dr. Jackson, where I worked mainly on dysregulated B cells in Lupus. As an RA, I am currently doing a rotation project in Dr. Andrew McGuire's lab which focuses on isolation of broadly neutralizing monoclonal antibodies from HIV positive individuals.
