- Program Manager, BIRCH
Sherly is the Program Manager of the UW Behavioral Research Center for HIV (BIRCH) in the Department of Global Health. Sherly specializes in project management and operations. She brings over four years of experience working as Student Services Manager at a prominent Nonprofit organization in New York. A proud alumna of CUNY Brooklyn College with a BA in Anthropology, Sherly is deeply committed to fostering inclusive spaces and uplifting underserved communities. At BIRCH, Sherly collaborates with a diverse array of Principle Investigators, Community Partners, and external institutions, to drive forward the center’s mission. As the Program Manager of the Administrative Core, Sherly plays a pivotal role in managing the center's four cores and ensuring that BIRCH remains on track to achieve its goals while upholding compliance with UW and NIH standards. Sherly moved to Washington State from New York in the summer of 2022 and enjoys exploring new cuisines, hiking and traveling on her free time.
