Caroline Kangas is the Grants Specialist for Global WACh, where she supports the Center's grant submissions and post-award grant management. She comes to UW with diverse operations experience from her time at arts education nonprofits as the Managing Director at Freehold Theatre Lab/Studio in Seattle and the Stores Director at 826 Valencia in San Francisco. With a lifelong fascination in the intersections of studies, she holds a BA in Comparative Literature and Culture (focus on Latin American graffiti and murals), Honors Minor in Public Service (thesis on community gardens), and Honors in Environmental Studies from the University of San Francisco.
