Washington Governor Jay Inslee spoke with Chuck Todd on NBC's Meet The Press about the impact on our state of President Donald Trump's immigration ban against seven majority-Muslim countries.

Governor Inlsee attended the 10th anniversary celebration of the UW Department of Global Health in February, where he discussed the repercussions of the ban on Dr. Ala Alwan, the World Health Organization's Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean, who was set to present during a panel at the Global Health: Next Decade, Next Generation symposium. Dr. Alwan, an Iraqi citizen and former Minister of Education and Minister of Health in the Government of Iraq, had difficulty obtaining the clearance to travel to Washington.
