Affiliate Professor Ken Stuart, PhD, has received the Alice and C.C. Wang Award in Molecular Parasitology, which recognizes scientific leaders currently making novel and significant discoveries on the biology of parasitic organisms. Dr. Stuart’s research is focused on trypanosomatid pathogens known to cause sleeping sickness, Chagas disease and leishmaniasis for which there are few effective treatments and no current vaccines.
