Immunology of Merkel cell carcinoma

In the context of a UW-Fred Hutchinson P01 grant from the National Cancer Institute, the Project headed by the Koelle lab will investigate T cell recognition of Merkel cell polyoma virus, a newly-discovered virus that causes 80% of cases of Merkel cell carcinoma, an often-deadly skin cancer.
