Structure based drug design against sexually transmitted bacteria.

This is a multi-lab interdisciplinary effort to develop novel antibacterial compounds for the treatment of sexually transmitted infections caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia trachomatis, and Mycoplasma genitalium. This project exploits key resources and expertise in Seattle, including biological, chemistry, and molecular enzymology expertise at UW, bioinformatics at CIDR, and structural biology at the SSGCID. Funding is being sought at NIAID.
