Dynamic trends in HIV incidence by age and sex in rural KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa

Trends in HIV incidence over the past decade have increased in women and decreased in men. This paradoxical discrepancy has called for a more detailed and complete analysis of the underlying dynamics that drive changes in age- and sex-specific HIV incidence in high-burden settings.
