Emergency Response System: Tanzania

A pilot emergency response system is being implemented in Dar es Salaam and Pwani Regions as a partnership among regional medical leadership, the Tanzanian President’s Office Regional and Local Government, the Ministry of Health, and College of Medicine of Wisconsin’s Emergency Medicine leadership. After 4 years of planning and training, implementation is beginning.
