Governors Road safety Empowerment Expert Team (GREET)

Road traffic crashes (RTCs) kill 8 people each day in Sri Lanka. RTC injuries have been the leading cause of hospital admissions for the past two decades and have been among the first ten leading causes of hospital deaths for the same period. We initiated the establishment of a committee for the prevention of RTCs in the Central Province of Sri Lanka to reduce this man made epidemic. Samath Dharmaratne is the Chairperson of the committee.
