Continuous Medical Education, Distance Learning, and Consultation Warmline

The objective of this program is to reinforce the MOH capacity to assure continuous medical education for clinicians by providing learning opportunities in order to improve skills and knowledge in the clinical management of patients with HIV, AIDS and associated diseases.

Distance Learning and Continuous Medical Education (DL/CME): "Advanced Course in the Management of HIV/AIDS" and the "Advanced Course on the Management of Patients with Resistant Tuberculosis" to reinforce clinician competencies to manage clinically complicated cases, using one or both Distance Learning methodologies (synchronous and self-study model).

HIV Distance Consultation Telephone Line (Warmline): Operation and expansion of the Warmline to provide timely expert consultation via telephone on the clinical decision-making process for clinicians, particularly in remote and isolated areas. The free-to-users tele-consultation (Warmline) service for clinicians providing HIV care and treatment services is available Monday thru Friday from 8:00-15:30. In addition to the three different phone numbers available to users, a “WhatsApp” number is also available through which clinicians can send pictures of dermatologic cases that are reviewed by a senior dermatologist. The Warmline is also used to disseminate guidelines and other relevant information from the MOH.

This is an ongoing project.
