Development of Drugs for Protozoan Pathogens such as Cryptosporidium and Malaria

The Van Voorhis lab works on drug development for parasites that are of global health significance.  They have a series of new compounds (pre-clinical candidates) that are showing promise in the therapy of cryptosporidium and blocking malaria transmission.  This is funded by US NIH the USDA and the BMGF.
