Rama Murali is a seasoned public health professional with over 20 years of experience in leadership, program development, planning, implementation, and management, with a strong focus on health equity and behavioral science. Her work has supported diverse populations, including people living with HIV/AIDS, older adults with disabilities, family caregivers, adolescent girls, and women. Rama holds a Master of Public Health in International Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a Master of Arts in Psychology from the University of British Columbia, combining her expertise in public health and psychology to create impactful programs, both globally and at a local level.
Throughout her career, Rama has driven innovation and strengthened health systems at national and municipal levels across various countries. She has held pivotal roles such as Director of Workforce Development CAI, Director of Training and Technical Assistance at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and Associate Director of Global Learning and Training at Partners in Health. Rama's entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish CARE Cubed, the first grassroots organization for family caregivers in India, exemplifying her ability to mobilize communities and resources. Her achievements reflect a career committed to improving health equity and empowering marginalized populations through innovative, evidence-based solutions.
