As a PhD candidate in Global Health Implementation Science, he uses multiple research methods to evaluate the effectiveness of newborn community-based programs that pair community health workers with faith leaders in Ethiopia, examine barriers and facilitators for scale-up, assess system readiness, and identify key stakeholders and their roles in influencing readiness for scale-up. He has also worked on projects in Nigeria and Rwanda, and led an assessment of the implementation of the Addis Ababa Declaration on Immunization in collaboration with the African Union Commission, Africa CDC, UNICEF, and WHO.
Prior to joining the University of Washington, Dieudonne served as a lecturer at the University of Global Health Equity in Rwanda. He is interested in cross-cutting implementation science methods that can be applied across diverse health topics, as well as in teaching and mentoring early-career researchers in lower-middle-income countries.
