Biography 

Dewa Shrestha Greenleaf is a Course Coordinator for the Department of Global Health’s E-Learning Program (eDGH). She provides student support and coordinates registration, scheduling, marketing and evaluation for various aspects of the program. Born in Nepal, Dewa immigrated to the US as a child. After receiving her BA in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin, she worked as an elementary and middle school teacher at a school for students with Dyslexia. Dewa then went on to earn a MA in Health Promotion from the University of Iowa. There she researched determinants of immigrant health and developed a passion for immigrant and refugee health issues. Dewa also worked on a longitudinal bone health study that looked at the impact of physical activity on the bone development of children. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, travelling, yoga, running half marathons and spending time with her family.
