Outbreak preparedness: Developing a pandemic risk map

The goal of this grant is to expand the pathogens for which comprehensive baseline environmental suitability assessments have been conducted, leveraging the global dataset available for analysis. Pathogens considered will include: Henipaviruses (Nipah and Henda), Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV), Rift Valley Fever, Monkeypox, and Avian Influenza. Occurrence data will be paired with satellite imagery and socio-economic covariates to define geographies at potential risk for transmission based upon environmental features.
