PURE-AIR: Global Assessment of Air Pollution and Cardiovascular and Respiratory Disease within the Prospective Urban and Rural Epidemiological Study

This is a study to assess the impact of ambient and household air pollution in the context of the Prospective Urban and Rural Epidemiology (PURE) Study. The parent PURE study is coordinated by Salim Yusuf of the Population Health Research Institute and additional collaborators are Dr. Perry Hystad at Oregon State University and MyLinh Duong at McMaster University. Funding for PURE-AIR is provided from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and an NIH Early Independence Award to P. Hystad.
